Good casual food.. lemonade there is freshly squeezed, loved it!

Been there the first and last time. Ordered two HOT white chocolates to drink, but they weren't hot but cold. We also ordered a waffle Solo, it was also cold and didn't taste particularly fresh, and there were black pieces in the batter that looked like burnt remains from the waffle iron.

Very cozy, good food, friendly staff!

I was here for brunch, everything is clean and tidy, everything tasted very good and you can eat here with a clear conscience. The choice is plentiful and refills are always quick, there is something for every taste.

Very nice service and advice. In addition, the view and the location are super nice. Were served quickly. After 5 minutes the drinking was there and after 15 minutes the food for 5 people. The food was very tasty. The prices are totally acceptable for the portions you get. You are really very full and the drink is huge. Payment was also very quick. Highly recommended 👍🏼

The food in this ALEX was very well seasoned and more than adequately portioned. The cellar came regularly and was very friendly. Even with a mask on, I saw him smile. My desire to sit by the window was not a problem either. He pulled the tables apart. In the end, he thanked them in a particularly appreciative way. Here I got exactly what I would expect from a restaurant chain and even a little more;) Gladly again!

All well and quickly. The only negative point is that you can only use the toilet on the floor and have to pay extra for this ... Edit because of the comment: When asked at the service, they said “We don't have a toilet, you have to go out and back there”. Possibly. then you have to train the staff better 😉

Service very slow and my salad tasted very sad

I wanted to visit the restaurant with my friend during the week (Tuesday) at 8:30 pm. When asked if we could eat something, the lady who received us said that the kitchen had just closed. When we asked if we could have another drink, the woman said dismissively that she would have to cash in on us immediately. It's a shame that you can't even sit down and relax for a drink 1 1 / 2h before it closes and you tend to be turned away when you enter.

Unfortunately the waiters neglected us today because we had to wait almost 30 minutes for payment. Otherwise, the Alex-Cafe is a nice and cozy cafe that I can recommend

We were a little put off because of the reviews. But then we tried and I have to say that I can't quite understand the many negative reviews. We had the chicken or falafel bowl and french fries and it was all very tasty (especially when you consider that the system catering is in a shopping center). In addition, super nice, attentive waiter (dark-haired, Asian appearance), protective measures regarding corona are also implemented.

Wait staff are very nice and attentive. Really good coffee latte! We will be back!!

Unfriendly, uncoordinated, very weak .... your new blonde waitress upstairs is totally messed up and very bad. One incorrect order after the other ... We have waited ages for our food .... everything is fine and good but cheeky answers are available under all sau .... the whole team is totally overwhelmed and totally unprofessional 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I like to order the cheesecake there because I find it very tasty! 👍 The restaurant is nice and cozy, but unfortunately the staff is! very impolite. So only 3 stars.

The tarte flambée was delicious but unfortunately almost no creme fraiche on it. However, the dough was delicious. At dessert both the waffles and the ice cream were out. There was only cake left. And the raspberries were still frozen and the cheesecake wasn't good either. Which we found a shame. The staff was friendly and the price was okay for Frankfurt too.

Shopping makes you hungry and that's when we discovered the "ALEX" on the Zeil. What can I say, all in all very good! I got my children's portion of fish fingers with mashed potatoes and spinach without any stupid questions, my husband's burger was very tasty and the drinks were just great. The service was more than friendly and thanked for the tip with a "thank you" smiley on the receipt. We would love to come back!

We were very satisfied! At dinner, the food came within 5-10 minutes. The staff was friendly and the food tasted very good. We went back to the breakfast buffet the next day and weren't disappointed either! Gladly again!

I was there last week and all I can say is that it is my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt! Great food, great service and great atmosphere 😁 My table was near the kitchen area and although there was a lack of waiters, I am very happy with the quick service and friendly waiters👍. My waiter was a beard and arm tattoo man who took all of my notes on my orders and was very friendly and quick. Thank you Alex team, of course I'll be back!

Good location with a beautiful view of the Zeil. Friendly staff and a balanced, modern menu. You can eat anything here. Breakfast still has potential.

Food os ok but location is nice

Visually, this shop is very nice. Unfortunately the staff was extremely unfriendly to us and our food was also not according to the prices. We had to re-salt the chips ourselves, although there is not even salt on the table. The children's dishes were not child-friendly and the mashed potatoes would have been better at home. Not recommended...

Can't beat their breakfast brunch, cheap and all you can eat :)

We were treated terribly because we didn't speak German. With his face and manners the waiter showed that he wasn't happy to see us there, the evening was spoiled. When the food was ready he almost threw the plate to the table, as if we were dogs. We were two neatly dressed and polite people, there is no reason why someone should treat us this way.

Very nice atmosphere and decor. The food and drinks taste very good. Servings are enough. The sweets also taste good. The location is in the middle of the city center in the shopping center MyZeil and very easy to reach. The only criticism: no own toilets. You have to use the shopping center and pay for it. In addition, these are on the completely different side and you have to walk a bit.

Nice Place with a good Atmosphere. Great cozy Seats. Really tasty food. Good variety of food, meat and vegeterian dishes and bevarages. The prices are totally fine for the food you get also consider being in the center of Frankfurt. While you eat you can enjoy a nice view, tho the building on the other side, disturbs it a little bit...

Extremely bad service. Avoid! Very long waiting time. The drinks came after we had finished with the food. Both food and drinks orders were wrong. The bill as well. The worst part was the waiter. Not only he didn't apologize, but he was very aggressive during all interactions. What is more he would speak no English. It seems that the management does not care about the numerous negative reviews here. Edit: I decited to visit again. I ordered an Irish coffee. The coffee was served cold. Disappointing once more

Fast and efficient service

The worst service and the worst food that ever concurred to me in my life. Some of the food is over cooked and the others are not cooked at all and 2 of our main order didn’t come to after 30min so we cancelled the last order. Don’t even try to go there.
